Ras Al Khaimah, UAE · Beach resort
Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah suits a holiday where the hotel is a major part of the trip. Its private beach, family swimming areas and choice of restaurants give you plenty of reasons to leave room in the itinerary for doing very little. Think beach mornings, a long lunch and time together by the pool.
Our visit
We stayed at Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah in September 2026 as part of a hosted collaboration.
Choosing your room
Compare the room and suite layouts before paying for a view upgrade. Connecting rooms are listed among the resort’s amenities, and additional beds and cots can be requested. For a family of five, get the exact occupancy and sleeping arrangement confirmed in writing.
Travelling with children
The current family offering includes Ocean Adventurers for younger guests, Drift for teens and a water playground around Azure’s family pool. Ask which sessions suit your children’s ages and whether advance booking is needed.
Food and meal planning
There are several restaurants and lounges, so compare breakfast-only and meal-inclusive rates against how often you expect to eat at the resort. Reserve any special dinner early and check the children’s menu.
A suggested stay
Make the first afternoon a beach-and-pool settling-in session. Keep the following morning for the children’s preferred activities, then have a slow lunch and another swim. If you want to explore Ras Al Khaimah, add an outing on a separate day rather than squeezing it between hotel activities.
Before you book
Check the location of your room relative to the family pool. A convenient layout can matter more than a higher floor when you are carrying swim bags and returning for naps.
