Our family stay with Sophie, Ethan and Jayden.By Robert & Sally · The Family Travel Club
Druids Glen suits a family break with a gentle pace: a swim, time outdoors and a comfortable base for exploring Wicklow. It is a good option to consider when you want a hotel stay to feel like a short holiday without filling every hour with activities.
A little advice before you goConfirm both the room occupancy and family swimming arrangements before booking. For a family of five, the extra bedroom needs to be part of the quoted price from the start.

Make yourself at home
The details that shape your stay.
A thoughtful room choice, time to unwind and a few well-chosen plans make all the difference.
01
The right room
This is an important one for larger families: the published family room accommodates two adults and two children or infants. Families with three or more children should enquire about interconnecting rooms rather than assuming an extra child can share.
02
Time for everyone
The current offering includes the Druids Den indoor play area, an outdoor playground and a fairy trail. Druids Den is unsupervised. The organised kids’ club runs on selected dates, so check the programme for your actual stay.
03
At the table
Ask about children’s menus and reserve an early dinner if that works best for your family. The hotel also lists a kitchenette with baby-feeding equipment, useful to check when travelling with an infant.
04
A stay worth slowing down for
Take a short walk around the grounds on arrival, followed by a swim if the family timetable allows. Spend the next morning on an easy Wicklow outing, then return for playtime and dinner. In wet weather, let the pool and indoor play area take more of the day.

01 / Beyond the hotel
Glendalough lakes and monastic site
Choose a short lakeside walk and leave time to explore the monastic ruins.
Choose your pace, keep the moments that matter and make every day your own. Your saved local favourites come first when you build a new plan.
These are suggested plans. Check opening dates, age restrictions, availability and transport before booking. Saving keeps the plan on this browser; it does not reserve activities.
